Tip: Inversion, whether in yoga poses or aerial poses it is great for your entire body. Sure we’ve heard great things about relieving spinal tension by laying on those inversion tables and flipping ourselves upside down but what about the other benefits? For instance, why is inversion practiced in various forms of yoga? Well, in yoga they do it for core strength because it gives an over all strength to the entire body. However, they do it also bearing in mind that inverting has many other health benefits such as; improved digestion, improved blood flow to the head and brain, relief of excess fluid build up in the legs and reduction of varicose vein pain. They also say that inverting can increase your focus as it brings oxygen fresh blood to the brain. Who knew that all these benefits came from simply inverting? Let’s not forget to mention that you just may get a change in perspective as well, it has been said a time or two, if you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. I guess sometimes when things are upside down in our world it’s more about perspective than position.
