Tip: Not all protein shakes are considered equal. Some are completely bogus and have lots of sugars and added ingredients and less of the nutrients your body needs, like protein. A good protein shake should have at least 20 grams of protein per serving and under 2 grams of sugar per serving. If you have issues with dairy products for any reason, there are vegan options of protein powders that are completely plant based proteins. My favorite is Vega. Protein is really important for the health of your muscles and metabolism and we often don’t get enough of it in our daily diet. A protein shake is a great way to supplement.
