Tip: Replace your workout shoes frequently. You’re supposed to change your shoes every 500 miles you put on them. That can be hard to calculate if you aren’t a runner and tracking miles isn’t your thing. Depending on speed, the average person completes about 3 miles per hour, so if you workout for 1 hour each time, you should replace your shoes every 166 workout days per our calculation. Now you probably don’t work out 166 days all in a row and since about 182 days is halfway through the year at 6 months, we say you should probably be replacing your shoes about every six months if you are consistently working out at least 5 days a week.
