Tip: I’ve read a lot that we shouldn’t skip breakfast but I think this should be taken with a grain of salt as everyone’s bodies are different. I’ve tried both ways and for me, my weight was lower not having a big breakfast as suggested by a lot of nutrition outlets. I do, however, think it’s important to get your metabolism going and keep it fed but with something small or high in protein, not necessarily first thing in the morning. Usually a protein shake will suffice for me after my morning workout and then a nice lunch a few hours later. Lunch for me is my biggest meal of the day. It gives me a chance to gain energy through that afternoon low and get my carbs in early enough to burn them off. It also fills me up enough not to overload on dinner and go to bed with an overly full stomach. For me, doing this keeps my calories lower throughout the day as there is only so much time left in the day to consume calories.
